placed a memorial in honor the 13 U.S Servicemembers (11 Marines, 1 Navy Sailor
and 1 Army Soldier) killed in a suicide bombing attack in Kabul on August 26.

The memorial is available for viewing by the public on
Wednesdays 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm and Fridays from 5:00 pm to 9:30 pm during bingo and
Saturdays 1 pm to 4 pm. at the William Alfred Suggs VFW Post No 5277, located
at 855 West Desoto St
Clermont, FL.
The William Alfred Suggs Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No.
5277 is a simple two-story concrete block and brick masonry building located in
Downtown Clermont. Originally constructed as a one-story building in 1946 by
members of the William Alfred Suggs Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post No.
5277, a second story was constructed circa 1955. The building is the oldest
surviving building in Clermont custom-built for a veteran’s support
organization that is still in active use by the group.
